Production III
Sexual Assault PSA: This is another public service announcement to raise awareness about the amount of sexual violence that goes unnoticed. The editing and filing went well for this video but some shots ended up being shaky. |

Viral Video: This was a very interesting project in one main way. Half of our grade depended on the amount of views we could get in a week or less. My friend and I ran into several problems finding actors and editing in time. We ended up creating a trailer for a short film instead of the short film itself. |
20 Year Neuqua Intro: This was a project made for the twentieth year of our school. Our department head asked some students and I to create an intro for a video she was making in celebration. We followed the events and common things that start each morning on school days. Things such as sport practices, kids studying, music practice, and bus rides. |

7 Day Challenge: This is always one of the most stressful yet enjoyable projects of the year. In a group we are given a prop and a line of dialogue we must use to make a short film and are given only seven days to script, shoot, and edit. This time limit always makes it difficult to perfect the videos but I think we did a decent job with our story. The other point of stress is that this project is a competition for MMEA. The best part of this project is seeing what other schools come up with in the week. |
World Hunger PSA: This is a public service announcement on world hunger and raising awareness for the problem. It shows as first a little girl eating Facebook likes then transitions to a young girl who is clearly dirty/hungry. I plan on redoing a PSA similar to this because I think it could have a very strong message yet did not turn out the way I wanted. I think the next version of this will be improved greatly. |

Documentary: I have always enjoyed the idea behind documentaries because they give a challenge of taking a real-life non-scripted story and make it interesting. This documentary follows the story of a women and her experiences in two Illinois cities. The interview was twenty minutes long, making it difficult to cut down the time but it gave me a lot of great information to work with. B-Roll ended up causing me the most trouble due to time restrictions. This doc. turned out to be something I am proud of and I hope to make more in the future. |
You Choose #2: This was the second project we were given to choose any video we wanted. I chose to make a second dramatic narrative. I filmed in one day because I had some trouble scheduling my actors. This caused me to have to work with some footage I wished I could have re-shot. Overall I believe the sound editing and story turned out well although the filming itself was slightly bad. |

Instructional Video: In a group of three we had to make a video showing how to do something. As a group we chose to demonstrate how to use a boom microphone. We had enough time to make this video and it ended up fairly well. |
Music Video: This was a standard music video project. There were several acting and time restrivtions I ran into. I settled on a different song and idea than what I originally would have liked to do. Due to these problems I had I thought this video would turn out to be very roughly editied and confusing but, the video ended up much better than expected. |

You Choose #1: This project was a chance for creativity. I was able to choose any sort of film to make. I chose to make a dramatic narrative about a hardworking, single mom raising her daughter. This film did not turn out quite as well as I had hoped it would but it still gave the emotion I was hoping for. |
Spirit week: In a small group I worked with others to come up with an idea, film, and edit for our school. This was basically a promotional video for our school's theme "all in". This was filmed on a very tight timeline so there were a couple issues however, it turned out very well. |
